The history of INUTEQ: from 2011 to now
INUTEQ International B.V. was founded in Deventer, the Netherlands, in 2011, with one clear mission: to keep people comfortably cool and prevent heat stress. At work, during sports, and in daily life. The company started with the development of evaporative cooling technologies and quickly grew into an internationally recognised brand.
An early milestone was the introduction of INUTEQ-DRY® technology, an evaporative cooling system activated by simply adding tap water. The unique principle: the vest actively cools the body for 8 to 72 hours, depending on ambient temperature and airflow. This made the technology particularly suitable for professional applications in industry and construction.
More cooling technologies followed: INUTEQ-H2O® for broad applicability, INUTEQ-PVA® for powerful evaporative cooling, and the patented INUTEQ-PAC®. This is a 100% biobased phase-change material (PCM) that cools at a constant temperature. This technology attracted the attention of major sports brands: in collaboration with Adidas, cooling vests were developed for Formula 1 drivers like George Russell, for cockpits where temperatures can reach 55-60°C.
Today, INUTEQ is an official supplier to Team Visma | Lease a Bike, the Dutch women's hockey team, and various F1 teams. The products are used by firefighters, police, military personnel, and medical professionals worldwide. INUTEQ collaborates with medical and technical universities to continuously improve its cooling technologies.
What do INUTEQ products do for your body and work posture?
INUTEQ focuses on one core problem: people who get too hot during work or exertion perform less well, make more mistakes, and run health risks. INUTEQ's cooling products are designed to actively mitigate this problem, without cables, batteries, or complicated systems.
INUTEQ Cooling Vests
INUTEQ's cooling vests work via evaporation or phase transition, depending on the model. Evaporative vests are activated by water and cool through airflow on the skin. PCM vests use biobased cooling elements that maintain a constant temperature. Both variants can contribute to reducing heat stress during prolonged work in warm environments, such as construction sites, warehouses, or industrial production settings.
INUTEQ Neck Coolers and Head Coolers
The Headcool Helmet Basic fits into any construction helmet and keeps the head up to 15°C cooler with just water. The neck coolers work on the same evaporative principle and are lightweight and reusable. Both products are aimed at people working in warm outdoor environments who do not have the option to wear a cooling vest.
INUTEQ CoolPacs and Accessories
INUTEQ CoolPacs are 100% biobased and USDA-certified cooling elements used in combination with PCM cooling vests. They are available in various temperatures (from 6.5°C to 29°C) and are aimed at specific applications: from athletes requiring pre- and post-cooling to professionals wearing heavy protective clothing.
