Heated blankets and warmers
When do you choose a heated blanket or warmer?
You choose a heated blanket or warmer when you sit still for a long time in a place that stays cool. Think of a home office in a garden room, a study where the heating cannot keep up, or the stands next to the pitch. Anyone who sits still for hours slowly cools down.
A power bank warmer is also handy when you do not want a cable. You take the seat pad or the hand muff outside, to the stands or to another room. The power bank travels along in the warmer's pocket.
Why a power bank warmer instead of the heater or a regular hot water bottle?
Warming yourself instead of the room
A Glovii heated blanket or warmer gives warmth exactly where you make contact: in your back, on your lap or around your hands. You do not have to heat the whole study when you are the only one in it.
No hot water and no wall socket
You never fill the electric hot water bottle on a power bank with water. There is no waiting for the kettle and nothing can leak. All warmers in this category run on a USB power bank, so you stay warm without a socket nearby.
Gentle warmth, not a replacement for the heating
At 9 to 10 W, the heated blankets and warmers give gentle, local warmth. In a room that is really cold, they do not replace the heating. They are there for the spots that cool down first when you sit still.
Which complaints can a heated blanket or warmer help with?
A heated blanket or warmer can help reduce the cold feeling that builds up when you sit still for a long time. You often notice it first in your hands, your back and your shoulders.
- Cold, stiff fingers between typing sessions: the hand warmer or the hand muff 4-in-1
- A cold back and cold shoulders at your desk: the blanket cape, worn as a cape
- A cold lower back or seat: the seat pad with backrest, or the hot water bottle against your lower back
Heated blankets and warmers are not medical devices. If you have a condition in which cold or heat plays a role, talk to your GP or therapist first.
If it is mainly your feet that get cold under the desk, take a look at the heated foot mats.
What should you look for when choosing a heated blanket or warmer?
The spot you want to keep warm
The heated seat pad warms the seat and the backrest at the same time. The blanket cape heats across the back and, worn as a cape, also covers your shoulders and arms down to the hips. The hand warmer and the hand muff 4-in-1 are for your hands, and you place the electric hot water bottle wherever you need it.
Power bank
None of the heated blankets and warmers come with a power bank. You need a power bank with a 2 A USB output; for the seat pad, the blanket cape, the hand warmer and the hot water bottle that means 5 V and 2 A. How long a warmer stays warm depends on the level and the capacity of your power bank.
Levels and automatic shutdown
All heated blankets and warmers have three levels. On the seat pad, the blanket cape, the hand warmer and the hot water bottle these are 100%, 66% and 33% of the power, and they switch off by themselves after 45 minutes. If you want warmth for longer, switch them back on with the button. The hand muff 4-in-1 has levels of 34, 39 and 44 °C.
Delivery time
The seat pad with backrest, the blanket cape, the hand warmer for both hands and the electric hot water bottle are available from November 2026. The current delivery time is shown on each product.
Tips for using a heated blanket or warmer
- Use a power bank with a 5 V and 2 A USB output, and put it in the warmer's pocket.
- Start on the highest level to warm up quickly, then switch down: that way the charge of your power bank lasts longer.
- Switch the seat pad, the blanket cape, the hand warmer or the hot water bottle back on after 45 minutes if you want warmth for longer.
- Place the hand muff 4-in-1 in your back once your hands are warm again: it gives you a warm support on your office chair.
- Take the power bank out of the hand muff 4-in-1 before you clean it, and spot clean it only.
Frequently asked questions about heated blankets and warmers
- What are heated blankets and warmers?
Heated blankets and warmers are products with a carbon fibre heating element that you connect to a USB power bank. In this category they are the Glovii warmers: a heated seat pad with backrest, a blanket cape 2-in-1, a hand warmer for both hands, a hand muff 4-in-1 and an electric hot water bottle.
- Who are heated blankets and warmers suitable for?
Heated blankets and warmers suit anyone who sits still for a long time in a cool place: people working from home in a cold study or garden room, spectators in the stands and people who sit outdoors. Because they run on a power bank, you do not need a wall socket.
- Does a power bank come with the Glovii heated blankets and warmers?
No. With the Glovii heated blankets and warmers you use a power bank you already have, with a 2 A USB output. For the seat pad, the blanket cape, the hand warmer and the hot water bottle it needs to be 5 V and 2 A.
- How long does a heated warmer on a power bank stay warm?
That depends on the level and the capacity of your power bank. On a lower level, one charge lasts longer. The Glovii seat pad, blanket cape, hand warmer and hot water bottle switch off by themselves after 45 minutes; after that you switch them back on with the button.
