An ode to the PCM Coolpac inserts
Cooling comfort in a smart package. These PCM Coolpac inserts are designed for the Bodycool Hybrid cooling vest and keep your body temperature stable without wet mess or power consumption. You choose the cooling temperature yourself – from a refreshing 6.5°C to a pleasant 29°C – depending on your activity and environment. They are reusable, reliable, and ready for more than 10,000 cooling sessions. Cooled in ice water, a fridge, or a freezer and ready for action. That's smart cooling.
Why this product?
The PCM Coolpac inserts contain a biobased Phase Change Material that melts and solidifies at a fixed temperature. This keeps your cooling vest stable at that temperature, without peaks or dips. Perfect for warm workplaces, intense sports moments, or medical applications. You don't need batteries or active cooling: just a fridge, freezer, or a tub of ice water to activate them. After a short preparation, you can cool comfortably for 2 to 2.5 hours. And after that? Simply reactivate and continue.
Instructions for use
Place the inserts in ice water (approx. 20 minutes), a freezer (approx. 40 minutes), or a fridge (approx. 60 minutes) to activate them. Then place them in the four pockets of the Bodycool Hybrid cooling vest. The inserts will then remain at temperature for several hours – depending on which variant you use. Please note: after activation directly from the freezer, allow them to acclimatise for 5 minutes for comfort.

How to store the cooling elements
Storing the elements for a longer period? Preferably keep them activated, in the fridge or freezer. They then stay solid and are always ready for immediate use.
If you prefer to store them at room temperature, lay them flat. The filling then stays liquid (the elements only solidify below the activation point of the temperature variant) and may start to “sweat” slightly after a long time, leaving a greasy film on the outside. This advice comes directly from Inuteq. For storage lasting months, the fridge or freezer is therefore the best place.
