Why the Bodycool T-Shirt?

For the tough ones

The Bodycool T-Shirt is made for real athletes who are not put off even by the heat. With this t-shirt you hardly notice the warmth (okay, a little less than that). The Bodycool t-shirt is made to cool the body by 15°C relative to the ambient temperature. That is pleasant when, for example, you have a running session in full sun, or go to a CrossFit class in a gym without air conditioning. The degree of cooling depends on the airflow. Finally, the garment works best at low to moderate humidity.

Evaporation

Activate in water

The t-shirt can be (re)activated by submerging it in water for a maximum of 2 minutes. Carefully squeeze the excess water out of the shirt (do not wring!). Then you put the shirt on and do your training (or other activities where you could use some cooling). The shirt provides cooling through evaporation. These cooling zones are located on the upper back and chest. Thanks to this smart technology you stay nicely cool for 2 to 8 hours, depending on the conditions. Has the shirt run out? Simply submerge it again and you can go for another round.

Durable fabric

The Bodycool T-Shirt is developed to be durable, which means it lasts a long time. The shirt is made for a maximum of 200 activations (wet/dry cycles). After about 10 uses you will notice a reduction in water absorption. After this, absorption remains relatively stable. This is a normal process. In addition, the degree of water absorption is influenced by the quality of the water and the maintenance of the t-shirt.

What makes the Bodycool T-Shirt so good?

The t-shirt is nice and light and offers plenty of freedom of movement. In addition, the shirt is available in various sizes and colours, so you will always find a fitting model. Unfortunately the shirt is currently only available in a men's version. The ladies will have to wait a little longer for a tailored version.

You shouldn't miss this either

Studies have shown that a cooling garment is a good way to improve performance. Wearing the t-shirt extends working time by 16.4% on average. Employees or athletes can keep up their work (or sport) for longer.

In the table below you can read how much performance capacity decreases at a given ambient temperature. Racing driver Max Verstappen, for example, likes to use the PCM CoolOver under his racing overalls. The Dutch women's hockey team also used these cooling vests during the warm-up at the Tokyo Games, so they could perform better during the match. Want to read more about this? You can do so here.

Health and safety

The Bodycool T-Shirt cools with ordinary water. It contains no chemical coolants, gels or liquids that could leak out. According to Inuteq's safety data sheet, the three material layers (polyester outer fabric, superabsorbent fibres and polyester lining) contain no hazardous components and are non-toxic.

Under normal use and direct skin contact, there are no known risks for the Bodycool T-Shirt. The material is odourless. All Inuteq products comply with the European REACH regulation (1907/2006/EC).

Wash before first use

Are you wearing the product over light or light-coloured clothing? Then wash it once before you use it for the first time. New textiles can release a little excess dye when first wetted. That is normal with coloured fabrics. Washing it beforehand rinses out that loose dye, so your clothing stays clean.
