Why the Kinesis Freestyle 2?

This ergonomic keyboard consists of two equally sized parts that you can split or place together as you wish. For example, you can position the two halves in line with your arms for a relaxed posture.

Adapts to your posture

The Kinesis Freestyle 2 is designed to move with your natural posture. You set the position of your hands and wrists yourself, reducing tension build-up while working.

Compact design, more desk space

The numeric section is absent, making the keyboard more compact than a standard model. You use the numeric keypad via the Fn keys. This saves space and allows you to keep the mouse closer to your body.

Hotkeys that relieve your left hand

The hotkeys for functions such as copy, paste, home, and search are located on the left side of the keyboard. This primarily relieves the left hand, as you need to make the same key combinations less often. Your right hand can meanwhile remain relaxed on the mouse.

On the right side, you'll find additional functions under the F-keys, which you operate via the Fn key.

Light typing with less force

The low-force tactile keys require less actuation force than average, up to approximately 25 percent. This makes prolonged typing noticeably lighter and more comfortable.

Practical and flexible in use

The Kinesis Freestyle 2 is available in black and for PC and Mac. You connect it via USB with a 2-metre cable. The keyboard is 390 to 520 mm wide, 180 mm deep, and 22 mm high.

Thanks to its compact design and separate parts, you can easily take the keyboard with you and comfortably set up any workspace anew.

What makes an ergonomic keyboard pleasant?

Prolonged computer work can be strenuous for wrists and arms. An ergonomic keyboard helps to reduce this strain.

Because the keyboard is narrower and better aligns with your body's natural posture, the mouse stays closer, and less tension builds up in your wrist, arm, and shoulder.

How to get the most out of the Freestyle 2

The two parts of the keyboard can be positioned separately and placed up to approximately 22 cm apart. This allows you to easily create a posture that suits you.

The parts are connected by a coupling piece that you can detach, allowing you to use both halves completely independently.

For extra comfort, you can expand the keyboard with accessories such as an adjustable stand or a wrist rest.

Take your time to get used to this way of working. Over time, you'll notice that you work more comfortably and have less chance of complaints.
