The ProTouch is just like a fly swatter. Although it could be taken literally, we advise against it. No, what we are referring to is the fact that this central mouse kills two birds with one ergonomic stone; central mousing and a wrist rest while typing.
Why the Sun-Flex ProTouch™?
The ProTouch is both a centred computer mouse and a wrist rest while typing. The mouse features a left and right mouse button, a double-click button, and a copy and paste button. You move the cursor with the touchpad. You scroll by moving two fingers up or down across it. The touchpad has even more functions. You can find them here.
The ProTouch has the width of a traditional keyboard (with numeric keypad). You connect it using the 1600 mm long USB cable. The ProTouch does not have a built-in function to change the cursor speed or buttons, but you can change the cursor speed and reverse the left and right mouse buttons via your computer's device settings.
What makes a trackpad so good?
A trackpad ensures that you can always work centrally and within shoulder width. An external mouse is ergonomically only recommended with a compact keyboard. With a trackpad, you can use both a wide keyboard with a numeric keypad and work ergonomically. Furthermore, the trackpad also serves as a wrist rest while typing, which benefits relaxation in the arm, wrist, and hand.
Get the most out of this product
Slide the ProTouch against your keyboard and ensure that the left side of your keyboard and the ProTouch are at the same height. With a compact keyboard, the trackpad will extend further to the right, but the point is that the touchpad is in the middle of your "typing area" (between the Enter and Caps Lock keys). This is the ideal position for working as centrally as possible.
Don't miss this either
Four foam caps are included, which you can use to raise your keyboard if necessary. However, most keyboards are higher than the ProTouch. The optimal keyboard height is reached when the spacebar is level with the top of the ProTouch.
