How does it hang?
When your physical health is hanging by a thread due to office work, you can hang this armrest on the edge of your desk so you can comfortably rest your arms on it. Your health depends on it. What a cliffhanger!
Ergopro's symmetrical armrests offer your arms support where they need it. Your arms no longer float when you sit in the correct, upright posture on your office chair. And you no longer have to work hunched over to rest your arms on your desk.
Ergopro armrests are easy to attach to your desk, without drilling into your desk or damaging it in any other way. The armrest is filled with polyurethane foam and covered with a very pleasant Lycra fabric. The wide armrest is for use with a keyboard and mouse, and the narrow one is ideal for a keyboard only (with Rollermouse or integrated trackball or touchpad mouse).
An armrest helps you to work in a natural position so that your muscles do not become overloaded. It prevents your arm from 'hanging' and causing tension in muscles and joints. Ultimately, your back, neck, and shoulder also benefit, in addition to your arm.
Make sure your desk and chair are not too high or too low. The angle between your upper and lower arm should be between 90 and 120 degrees during normal use.
Furthermore, the wide armrest is also available as a thin variant. This provides space to sit closer to your desk without the armrest getting in your way.
The armrests are supplied with two mounting brackets. For straight desks, attach them in the left and right holes. For corner desks or desk tops cut in the same way, you only need to attach one bracket and only in the middle holes.
The armrest is ideal for desk tops between 15 and 22 mm thick. For thinner tops, the support tilts forward; for thicker tops, it tilts backward. However, you can slightly increase the thickness by using washers between the armrest and the mounting brackets.
"Is the Ergopro armrest ready for immediate use upon receipt?"
No, you only need to screw the desk brackets to the armrest using the supplied screws and Allen key.
"How far am I from the desk when the armrest is mounted to the desk top?"
That depends on the model. For the wide model, it's about 8 cm, 2 cm for the thin variant, and 11 cm for the narrow one.
