Why the Viewprime Plus dual monitor arm?

That's quite a statement! Does it live up to it? The answer can be short: Yes! But then you'd still have a lot of questions. So feel free to read on.

Thoughtful design

In 99 out of 100 cases, a monitor arm is attached to the back of the desk. This immediately presents the first challenge. What if your desk is against a wall or there's a partition behind your desk? The design of the Viewprime Plus ensures that you can still adjust the monitors perfectly.

The depth of the screens can be adjusted individually over a distance of 357 mm and the rotation points can be 'locked' at 180 degrees. This way, the arms do not extend beyond the edge of your desktop. This ensures that when adjusting your desk, you won't give the wall, monitor arms, or partition a new design.

Without this lock, you can, by the way, simply rotate the arms fully around their axis. In addition to rotating, you can also easily swivel, pivot, and tilt your monitors. Speaking of those monitors, they can weigh a maximum of 8.5 kilograms each and are easily mounted using the quick-release VESA adapter. It is suitable for both a 75 by 75 mm and a 100 by 100 mm hole pattern.

With monitor arms designed for two screens, it's often a bit of a search for the perfect arm position. You want the screens to be neatly aligned. The Viewprime Plus has solved this problem with its handy monitor sliders. These allow you to easily adjust your screens horizontally. The sliders have a length of 240 mm, enabling it to place two monitors of up to 812 mm wide side by side.

Smooth and fast

To make the monitor arms easy and smoothly adjustable, a gas spring has been chosen. The only drawback to this is that the monitors must have a minimum weight of 1.5 kilograms. In practice, however, this is not a problem for the majority of monitors.

You adjust a gas spring once, and then you can adjust the height of the screens with one finger. With most monitor arms, adjustment is a guessing game, but the Viewprime simply has an indicator that allows you to adjust it perfectly.

For everyone

Thanks to its extensive adjustment options, it is the ideal flexible working partner. With a height range of 355 mm, it is also suitable if you are a bit taller. This is, by the way, the height of the VESA adapter. The top edge of the monitors will therefore be a bit higher.

What makes a dual monitor arm so good?

A computer screen usually comes with a stand. This often takes up some space on your desk and makes the workspace quickly look a bit cluttered. In addition, the height range of such a stand is often insufficient to adjust the screen correctly.

With a dual monitor arm, you can easily place the monitors at the correct working height. This is approximately at eye level when you type blind (actually, just slightly below). If you can't type blind yet or wear glasses with a reading section, it's advisable to place the screen a bit lower.

By placing your screens at the correct working height, you relieve the strain on your neck, shoulder, and back muscles. You can imagine that this makes your workday a bit more comfortable.

A tidy space is a neat space

The Viewprime is equipped with integrated cable guides that allow you to neatly route the cables along the monitor arms. Besides looking tidy, this also ensures that you don't pull cables out of the monitor when adjusting the arms.

To clamp, or not to clamp

With many monitor arms, you often receive a variety of mounting brackets. Often you only use one and throw the rest away or store it in one of your drawers for the next 10 years. Very environmentally conscious. Ahem! Dataflex thought this could be done differently. For the Viewprime, they have developed 3 clamps, one of which you can order along with it. There are 3 choices;

1. Desk clamp suitable for desktops up to 50 mm thick.
2. Low-profile desk clamp suitable for (sliding) desktops up to 25 mm thick. Useful if you have little space under the desktop or if there is a cable tray under the desk.
3. Grommet clamp suitable for desktops up to 49 mm thick.
