Why the SUN-FLEX® SCREENLITE

Flexible placement

Traditional desk lamps usually stand on a base, often relegating them to a corner of the desk. This means that only a part of your desktop is well-lit. How different it is with the Screenlite from Sun-Flex®. You can easily place it in the middle of your desktop without it getting in the way. Thanks to its space-saving desk clamp, it also takes up hardly any surface area. The footprint of the desk clamp on the desktop is 4.5 by 5 cm, and the clamp can accommodate desk thicknesses up to 4.5 cm.

I hear you thinking, but my monitor is in the middle of my desk. So it's no use to me, right? Wrong! Its maximum height of 71 cm, measured at the bottom of the light bar, makes it possible to place it above your monitor. It's best to place it just a few centimetres above your screen, so it illuminates most of your workspace without shining into your eyes.

You might expect your screen to reflect strongly, but that's not the case. The LEDs from Samsung are mounted on the back of the 80 cm long light bar and shine indirectly downwards. The LEDs are flicker-free and provide a calm light image.

The modernly designed Screenlite, with its matte black colour, blends in beautifully with the often black bezel of your screen. In addition, the matte finish prevents harsh reflections. A small drawback? The chrome finish of the hinge points doesn't hide the fact that they are plastic parts, although they work perfectly fine.

Get the most out of the SUN-FLEX® SCREENLITE

On top of the Screenlite desk lamp, you'll find several touch buttons. You don't need to physically press them; a simple tap is enough. With these, you can adjust the brightness and colour temperature of the light. There's also an on/off button, and you can switch the ambient light sensor on and off. You can read more about this below.

You can adjust the light intensity incrementally by tapping the button once. It has 5 settings, increasing from 10%, 20%, 50%, 70%, and 100% light intensity. If you want to set the exact brightness yourself, hold your finger on the button, and it will dim steplessly. Release the button when you want to fix the brightness. At its maximum setting, the light output is 1700 lux.

To set the colour temperature, follow the same procedure as above. However, there are fewer pre-programmed settings, namely 3000K(elvin), 4000K, and 6500K. Here too, you can adjust it steplessly by holding your finger on the button. Also important is that when you switch the lamp off and on, it remembers the last setting.

Do you want to have the most optimal light continuously throughout the day without having to constantly adjust the settings yourself? Then use the ambient light sensor. You switch it on by pressing the button next to the on/off button. You'll know it's on because a small blue light illuminates. It then adjusts the light intensity to the ambient light.
