How to adjust it

You adjust the height with the gas spring. Underneath the seat there is a ring with which you set the Balance mechanism looser or tighter. Set that mechanism looser and the seat moves along more, making the stool feel more active. Set it tighter and you sit more calmly. That way you can fairly easily find your own middle ground.

Ergonomic benefits

You sit most comfortably upright on the Activo. The saddle shape helps to open your hips and sit less slumped. At the same time the generous seat feels friendlier for your body than on many more active saddle stools. That can be pleasant if your back quickly becomes restless from sitting for a long time on a regular office chair.

The Balance mechanism keeps the seat subtly in motion. As a result you do not sit completely still, yet the stool does not feel jittery either. Handy if you do want to sit more actively, but do not want to balance on the edge of your concentration all day.

The black Alcantara upholstery feels soft and gives the stool a calm, luxurious look. The material appears to breathe pleasantly. Underneath you get a black plastic base of Ø 62 cm, made from 65% recycled ocean plastic. You choose between soft or hard castors of Ø 65 mm.

A quick measure

If you work at a standard desk, you will usually end up with the standard gas spring. For lower or higher worktops there are also a low and a high version. So do take a moment to check the height of your worktop. That saves hassle afterwards.
