Why a saddle stool?

Dynamic sitting, or staying mobile at your desk. In addition to the right support that an office chair can offer, it is also important to stay mobile. This can be achieved by regularly walking a short distance or by using a saddle stool or a sitting ball.

Can the office chair be replaced?

We recommend alternating the use of an ergonomic office chair with a saddle stool, but from experience, we also know that some people use the saddle stool as a replacement for an office chair. If you don't have back problems and are generally fit, you could easily work for longer periods on a saddle stool.

You are encouraged to adopt a good and dynamic posture; especially for back problems such as lower back pain, a saddle stool is a godsend. It strengthens your ‘core’ muscles and keeps your back and hips moving. This prevents that ‘stiff’ feeling at the end of the day. If you still need a bit more support, order the lumbar support. The saddle stool with a backrest gives you that extra bit of comfort during your workday.

Which height gas spring do I need?

An ergonomic stool can be used as a sitting aid or a standing aid. Many of our saddle stools are designed so that you can adjust the working height.

If you use it behind a desk, choose the standard gas spring height. If you use it as a standing aid, choose the high variant. Professions such as hairdressers greatly benefit from a standing aid during the workday, so a saddle stool is also very suitable for use as a hairdresser's stool, for example. The low gas spring is suitable for applications where you need a lot of freedom of movement, such as a doctor's surgery, blood test centres, or the dentist.

Do I need a saddle stool or a saddle chair?

That is very personal. If you lean more towards the dynamic side, then you would choose a Jolly or Amazone. The Amazone provides more support of the two. If you are looking for a saddle chair, or want to move more towards an office chair, then choose the Jumper with a backrest. This saddle chair has a relatively large saddle and is very comfortable with the addition of lumbar support.
