As hollow as a... well, as what? A desk top! Not practical when you want to screw a cable tray to it. Fortunately, Gyro Gearloose has come up with something.

Why the mounting kit for hollow desk tops?

Cables. You probably have a lot of them at your workplace. Ideally, you'd tidy them away neatly in the Extend cable tray or conceal them using other cable management.

When you want to screw something to your desk top (for example, a cable tray), it can sometimes be quite a challenge, especially if the desk top is hollow. In a hollow desk top, a normal screw has no grip, and your "mounted" cable tray will be on your feet in no time. To prevent this, you can use this mounting kit for hollow desk tops. The plugs are designed to clamp themselves to the inside of your desk. This way, the screw has sufficient grip to support a cable tray on the underside of the desk.

Our mounting plugs come with a matching screw. Before mounting, measure carefully to ensure our screws are not too long, otherwise, the screw might just come out the other side of the desk top. You can, of course, also use your own screws.

Don't miss this either

Make sure you don't apply too much pressure when drilling the mounting hole. Once you've gone through the first side of your desk, you could shoot through to the top panel. So, take your time.
