INUTEQ Insulin cooling travel bag
Product description of INUTEQ Insulin cooling travel bag
Why the Insulin cooling travel bag?
Safe use
As a diabetic, you probably know better than anyone how important it is to keep your insulin at the correct temperature. This is necessary so that you can rely on its efficacy. Insulin that is not stored at the correct temperature can lose its effectiveness. So, it's time for a cooled travel case!
Everything to hand
When you use insulin, it can sometimes be a hassle to carry everything (cooled) with you. Our insulin travel case offers a solution. The removable pouch inside the case is attached with Velcro. Time to inject? Simply remove the pouch and you'll have everything to hand.
Cooled insert
To cool the travel case, a cooled insert is necessary. This cooling element provides the actual cooling. The PCM Biobased insert is filled with a type of cooling gel. You can activate this by placing the insert in the fridge or freezer. To fully activate the insert, it needs about an hour. With the help of the cooling element, the temperature remains at 15ºC for one day.
This is what makes the Insulin cooling travel bag so good
A fixed place
The travel case has a fixed place for all necessities. This prevents items from shifting around inside. Also for the required cooling elements there are two nets, keeping them firmly in place.
The insulin travel case is made from 100% 1580D waterproof polyester and has dimensions of 20 x 11 x 5 cm. The inside features an insulating layer of aluminium.
Health and safety
The cooling elements of the Insuline koelende reistas contain INUTEQ-PAC, a plant-based phase change material (PCM) certified as 100% biobased (USDA). According to the safety data sheet, the material is not a hazardous substance or mixture (EU Regulation 1272/2008). It contains no persistent or bioaccumulative components, is insoluble in water and is expected to be biodegradable.
If a cooling element leaks
It is not acutely toxic and no symptoms are known. Rinse skin or eyes that come into contact with the contents with plenty of water and consult a doctor if symptoms persist. If someone swallows the contents, contact a doctor immediately. Stop using a damaged element and dispose of it in line with local waste regulations.
Service life and regulations
The cooling elements of the Insuline koelende reistas are reusable and have been assessed in laboratory testing for long-term stability, so they retain their performance over many cooling and activation cycles. All Inuteq products comply with the European REACH regulation (1907/2006/EC).
You can briefly wipe the outside of the cooling elements of the Insuline koelende reistas with a mild disinfectant wipe. Let the surface dry quickly afterwards and do not soak the element in disinfectant.
