Wonderful cooling
The cap cools using INUTEQ-H2O. This is a cooling technique where you submerge the cap in tap water, after which the cooling takes place through the evaporation of the water.
Put the cap on your head and a (light) airflow provides a cool breeze on your crown. Because you submerge the cap, it can feel a little damp. Would you prefer one that stays completely dry? Then go for the Inuteq Smart Zip cap.
What makes the Headcool Power cooling cap so good?
By keeping your head (literally) cool, you can regulate your temperature better in hot conditions. This gives a comfortable feeling that increases your endurance and performance level. That makes the Smartcool Power extremely suitable during active pursuits.
On top of that, a cap naturally provides protection against the sun. It prevents the wearer’s head and face from getting sunburnt.

Immediate cooling
Once you have submerged the cap in tap water, the cooling starts straight away. The cooling temperature is roughly 15°C lower than the ambient temperature, depending on conditions.
An airflow is needed for optimal cooling. The cooling performs best at low to medium humidity: around 2 to 8 hours. Has the cooling worn off? Submerge the cap in water again and you can enjoy wonderful refreshment once more.
Colours and sizes
The cap is available in sizes S/M and L/XL. On the back of the cap there is an adjustable strap so you can make it fit. See the size chart on the right of the page to check which one suits you best. The Headcool Power comes in seven different colour combinations.
In the wash
The cap can go in the washing machine, as long as you wash it at a maximum of 40°C. Use a mild detergent. The cap is not suitable for steaming or ironing. So let it air dry (hanging up if you like). When the cap is still wet, do not leave it for longer than 12 hours in a space without good ventilation. When dry, you can store the cap in a dry and dark place.
Activating the cap
Health and safety
The Headcool Power cooling cap cools with ordinary water. It contains no chemical coolants, gels or liquids that could leak out. According to Inuteq’s safety data sheet, the three material layers (polyester outer fabric, super-absorbent fibres and polyester lining) contain no hazardous components and are not toxic.
With normal use and direct skin contact, no risks are known for the Headcool Power cooling cap. The material is odourless. All Inuteq products comply with the European REACH Regulation (1907/2006/EC).
Wash before first use
Are you wearing the product over light or light-coloured clothing? Then wash it once before you use it for the first time. New textiles can release a little excess dye the first time they get wet. That is normal with coloured fabrics. Washing it beforehand rinses out that loose dye, so your clothing stays clean.
Cools best with airflow
Evaporative cooling needs wind or movement. Sitting still indoors, you will hardly notice it.
