Why the Bodycool Smart-X cooling vest?

A cold shiver

The Bodycool Smart-X cooling vest provides extra cooling during the hotter days. The vest is lightweight and works on the basis of the advanced INUTEQ-DRY technique (more on that later). By staying well cooled, your performance level improves, so you can keep working comfortably for longer.

Different purposes

The cooling vest uses the INUTEQ-DRY technique, which means it does not get wet and can easily be worn under ordinary clothing. This makes it perfect for wearing under a uniform, for example. The vest works best at low to moderate humidity, and the amount of airflow determines the ultimate cooling effect and the duration of the cooling.

Do note that wearing a garment over the cooling vest can therefore affect the cooling. Are you wearing a fully airtight suit? Then choose a PAC cooling vest.

What makes the Bodycool Smart-X cooling vest so good?

Comfortable

The Bodycool Smart-X is a comfortable and lightweight vest to wear. The vest has a sturdy YKK zip fastening, so it fits neatly against the body. That makes the vest suitable for various activities. The cooling vest is designed to be worn in warm conditions up to 40°C. A (light) form of airflow is necessary for cooling.

Different layers

The cooling vest consists of 3 different layers. This way the water can be distributed properly across the cooling vest. The outer layer is made of 50% Nylon Jersey/50% PU Microban with antibacterial action. The core is made of cooling fabric and the inner material is also made of nylon.

Get the most out of your Bodycool Smart-X cooling vest

Easy to use

The vest is easy to (re)activate by filling it with tap water through the opening provided at the back. Then distribute the water across the vest with your hands and enjoy instant cooling. The vest stays dry on both the inside and the outside thanks to the unique design. After filling, the vest cools about 15°C below the ambient temperature, depending on conditions. The vest stays active for 8 to 72 hours, depending on conditions such as the ambient temperature and the humidity.

In the washing machine

The Bodycool Smart-X cooling vest may be washed in the washing machine at a maximum of 40°C. Do make sure you close the filling cap at the back properly. When machine washing, use a mild detergent to prevent the cooling technique from being affected. Is the wash done? Then let the vest dry hanging up, and definitely leave your iron or steamer switched off.

The right colour and size

The cooling vest is available in the colours silver-grey, black and yellow. You can choose from various sizes, from XS to 5XL. You can read which size suits you in the size chart on the right-hand side of this page.

Health and safety

The Bodycool Smart-X DRY cooling vest cools through evaporation and feels dry on the skin. The cooling fibre consists almost entirely of cellulose, a plant-based and biodegradable fibre. The outer fabric and lining have a laminate of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane).

According to Inuteq's safety data sheet, all materials in the Bodycool Smart-X DRY cooling vest are non-toxic and contain no hazardous components. Under normal use and direct skin contact, there are therefore no known risks. All Inuteq products comply with the European REACH regulation (1907/2006/EC).

Wash before first use

Are you wearing the product over light or light-coloured clothing? Then wash it once before you use it for the first time. New textiles can release a little excess dye when first wetted. That is normal with coloured fabrics. Washing it beforehand rinses out that loose dye, so your clothing stays clean.
