By wetting the bandana, the evaporative cooling technology is activated, providing cooling. This product is ideal for use at work, during sports, or in your leisure time. It works optimally in low to medium humidity conditions, where the level of airflow determines the cooling effect. You submerge the bandana in tap water for 2 minutes, gently wring it out, and if necessary, pat it dry with a towel. Then you tie it around your head and you're ready to go.
Wearing this bandana allows you to prevent heat stress and stay comfortably cool, thereby improving your performance level. With antibacterial properties and machine washability, the product is not only effective but also hygienic and easy to maintain.
The Inuteq Headcool Bandana is made from 100% polyester, both on the outside and inside. The core consists of super-absorbent INUTEQ H2O® cooling fabric with antibacterial properties. This makes the product lightweight, non-toxic, and durable, making it a reliable companion for all your cooling needs.
The bandana comes in 4 different colours and one universal size. You can easily tie it around your head using the two loose ends.
The bandana provides up to 15°C cooling compared to the ambient temperature, depending on conditions. It offers 2 to 8 hours of cooling. The exact duration depends on the conditions. The amount of airflow on the body determines the cooling effect and the duration of the cooling. Fortunately, the bandana is easy to (re)activate by simply submerging it in water again.
The Headcool verkoelende bandana cools with plain water. It contains no chemical coolants, gels or liquids that could leak out. According to the Inuteq safety data sheet, the three material layers (polyester outer fabric, super absorbent fibres and polyester lining) contain no hazardous components and are non-toxic.
Under normal use and direct skin contact, no risks are known for the Headcool verkoelende bandana. The material is odourless. All Inuteq products comply with the European REACH regulation (1907/2006/EC).
Planning to wear this over light-coloured clothing? Give it a single wash before you use it for the first time. New textiles can release a little excess dye the first time they get wet. That is normal for coloured fabrics. An initial wash rinses out the loose dye, so your clothing stays clean.
Evaporative cooling needs wind or movement. Sitting still indoors, you will hardly notice it.
