Why the Ergohuman Elite2 office chair?
New look, better components
The New Ergohuman Elite has been updated! Not just in looks, but also in performance. Compared to its more expensive predecessor, the Luxury, it has even improved significantly. For example, the lumbar support now has adjustable counter-pressure that can be tightened by up to 40%. On the current Luxury, this counter-pressure cannot be adjusted.
The Elite2 is also equipped with the latest 5D armrests. The front part of the armrest can tilt upwards, providing extra support when, for example, reading a book or holding a phone.
Highly adjustable office chair
The Ergohuman Elite2 office chair has many adjustable components. Both the seat, seat depth and back tilt can be adjusted with 1 modest lever. There is an additional small lever to also tilt the seat. This can be tilted 2 degrees negatively (forwards). This also applies to the back, which can assume a 6-degree negative tilt. You can adjust the backrest from a seated position. If you are a little less flexible (or a bodybuilder), it is best to stand up briefly to adjust the back. The armrest is 5D and can be adjusted in the following ways:
- Height
- Width
- Depth
- Partial tilt (front)
- Angle
Aluminium base
The five-star base of the Elite2 is made entirely of aluminium and has been tested for a static pressure of 1136 kilograms. That is more than sufficient for most of us. Incidentally, many more aluminium parts can be found on the Elite2. For example, the underside of the seat is also made of aluminium, as are a large part of the armrests and the construction to which the backrest is attached.
Mesh (net-covered) seat and back
The Elite2 has a mesh-covered seat and back. It provides a slightly different seating experience than a padded fabric seat, but breathes better and is particularly pleasant during warm summer months. The tensioning has been designed so that the chair provides support, comfort and pressure relief in the right places. In total, 12 such zones are built into the seat, lumbar support and backrest.
Elite2 Adjustability
The Ergohuman Elite2 is a fairly large chair by itself. Fortunately, its adjustability allows it to fit many human sizes. The seat height can be adjusted between 45 and 55 cm. The seat can slide 5 cm, the headrest is 8 cm height adjustable and 55 degrees tiltable, the back is a total of 138 degrees tiltable and the back is 6.5 cm height adjustable. The 5D armrests, in particular, provide extra adjustability, allowing you to position them well under your shoulders.
Tiltable backrest with counter-pressure
The backrest of the Elite2 can be unlocked, allowing you to sit more actively. Using the extra rotating lever, you adjust the counter-pressure. Choose a counter-pressure that prevents you from simply falling backwards, but also one that doesn't launch you out of your chair.
