But now I want to use it to make sure you settle in with a cup of coffee or tea before you start reading, because there is quite a lot to tell about the K3. Are you seated? Highly featured
The Keychron K3 gives you all the keys and functions you need in a compact size. This means that a numeric keypad is absent, for ergonomic reasons, but it does have hotkeys that can be used by pressing combination keys. Besides the compact size, the keys are flat, which is unique for a mechanical keyboard.
The K3's connectivity is fantastic. Via Bluetooth, you can wirelessly connect up to three devices to the keyboard at the same time. Using the toggle switch, you can switch between your connected devices in a flash. For example, one moment you might be working on your laptop, and the next you're quickly typing a WhatsApp message about dinner. A fourth device can be connected with a cable (USB). Of course, connecting a single device and using the USB cable for that is also an option.
Matching K3 walnut wood wrist rest
The wrist rest, made from American walnut wood, perfectly complements your K3 keyboard. The high-quality wood is smooth and features 4 anti-slip points on the underside to ensure the wrist rest stays in place. Thanks to the support, your wrists and hands are at the correct height for using the keyboard. This optimises relaxation and helps prevent injuries. Travel pouch
The Keychron travel pouch is the optimal way to carry your Keychron K3 keyboard. The pouch is made of Saffiano leather, which provides a combination of style, durability and flexibility. Anyone who does a lot of computer work knows that this can be strenuous for your wrists, shoulders, back and neck. A good keyboard can help you with this. The Keychron K3, for example, has a compact design. The keys are also extra easy to press. You can also place your mouse close to the keyboard. All of this is to minimise muscle strain, which can help prevent or reduce injuries. The Keychron K3 features a 1550mAh battery that lasts up to 34 hours with normal use.
Choose your switches
The K3 can be updated, so any production and/or design flaws can be fixed. The firmware will be available soon. So check this Keychron page regularly to see whether updates are available.
The Keychron K3 is suitable for both Windows & Mac. With a slider switch at the top, you can easily switch between operating systems. System-related keycaps are included and you can easily swap them yourself.
The Keychron K3 is also available in a Hot Swappable version. This means you can easily change the switches (without soldering). This version also features a backlight, with a choice of RGB or White. You can read more about this version of the K3 here.
The difference with the K3 V1
Keychron has not implemented major changes in the V2. For example, they have added feet that allow you to raise the back of the keyboard.
