Why the Fellowes Desk Insert?

Power, charging and data in a narrow strip

The Fellowes Desk Insert is a built-in power socket unit with two type E sockets with pin earth, a USB-A and a USB-C charging port and a keystone window for two connections. You fit it into a narrow cut-out, 5 cm wide, in your desk or table top. That puts power, charging and, for example, a network or HDMI connection right where you work.

Pin earth for Belgium and France

The sockets of the Fellowes Desk Insert have a pin earth, as is common in Belgium and France. A plug with an opening for the pin earth fits. Fellowes makes this version for the Belgian market.

Fast charging via USB-C

The USB-C port of the Fellowes Desk Insert charges your phone or tablet quickly, with up to 30 W. You don't need a separate adapter in a socket for that. So the two sockets stay free for your laptop and monitor.

Open and always within reach

The Fellowes Desk Insert has no lid. You plug in your plug or cable in one move, without flipping anything open first. Handy on a meeting table where people keep changing places.

How to use it

Build your own

For the Fellowes Desk Insert, you choose the length of the connection cable and a connection per keystone slot at the top of this page. Each slot can take USB-C, HDMI or CAT6 for a network cable. You can also leave a slot empty.

The keystones

The keystones of the Fellowes Desk Insert are couplers. Under the desktop you connect the cable to your computer, screen or network, and at the top you plug in your device. You click the keystones you choose into the keystone window yourself.

The connection cable

The Fellowes Desk Insert has a 1 metre linking cable with a 3-pin connector. You plug a connection cable with a mains plug into it, which you can order in 1, 3 or 5 metres. Already have a suitable connection cable with a 3-pin connector? Then choose "None".

Ergonomic benefits

A built-in power socket unit won't change your posture, but the Fellowes Desk Insert does save you bending down and searching under your desk for a free socket or a charger. You connect your phone, laptop charger or network cable from your chair. That makes a workspace you share with others a lot more pleasant to use.

For the Fellowes Desk Insert, you cut a 261.5 x 50 mm opening in the desktop. The unit is 43.5 mm high. So check that there's no frame, drawer or cable tray in the way under the desktop at that spot.
