Fellowes Desk In – 3x pen-style earth plugs & USB-A/C, white

An ode to the Fellowes Desk In

With a southern accent

Some plugs only feel at home when there’s a pin waiting for them. The Fellowes Desk In with pin socket speaks that language fluently: three Type E sockets, recessed into your desk top, with USB-A and USB-C ports alongside. It doesn’t serve chips, though. (Your laptop charges just as well on it, though.)

Why the Fellowes Desk In?

Power and charging in one place on your worktop

The Fellowes Desk In is a built-in power strip with three Type E sockets with earth pin and a USB-A and a USB-C charging port. You fit it into a recess in your desk or table top. This gives you power and charging exactly where you work.

Earthing pin for Belgium and France

The sockets on this Fellowes Desk In have an earth pin, as is standard in Belgium and France. A plug with a slot for the earth pin will fit. Fellowes manufactures this version for the Belgian market.

Fast charging via USB-C

You can quickly charge your phone or tablet via the Fellowes Desk In’s USB-C port, at up to 30 W. You don’t need a separate adapter plugged into the wall socket for this. This keeps the sockets free for your laptop and monitor.

Tidy when not in use

A cover conceals the Fellowes Desk In’s ports when you’re not using them. You open and close it with a simple push. This keeps your desk surface neat and tidy, even on a meeting table or in a flexible workspace.

Instructions for use

The connection cable

The Fellowes Desk In comes with a 1-metre connection cable featuring a 3-pin connector. You connect a power cable with a plug to this, which you can order in lengths of 1, 3 or 5 metres at the top of this page. If you already have a suitable power cable with a 3-pin connector, select ‘None’.

Ergonomic benefits

A built-in power socket doesn’t change your posture, but the Fellowes Desk In does save you from having to bend down and search under your desk for a free socket or a charger. You can connect your phone, laptop charger or monitor whilst sitting in your chair. This makes a workspace that you share with others much more pleasant to use.

Don’t miss this either

Measure before you cut

For the Fellowes Desk In, you’ll need to cut a recess measuring 273.6 x 162.5 mm in the worktop. The unit is 89 mm high. So make sure there’s no frame, drawer or cable duct in the way underneath the worktop in that spot. Clamps on the unit then hold the Fellowes Desk In securely in place.

Pros and cons

• Three sockets with earth pin
• USB-C fast charging up to 30 W
• Lid that opens with a push
• Available in black and white
• Less ideal if your plug doesn’t have a ground pin
• Not ideal if you don’t want to cut into your worktop

In short: the Fellowes Desk In is a built-in power strip with USB chargers for desks and conference tables. Important: cut-out dimensions of 273.6 x 162.5 mm; you choose the connection cable yourself.
