Don't worry; the Upstaa comes with clearer instructions than the average blue-and-yellow flat-pack furniture giant's products. You won't need to call in Uncle John to assemble it either. The Upstaa is simple, affordable, and functional.

Why the Upstaa?

With the Upstaa stand, you can quickly transform any workspace into a standing workstation. You can easily assemble the Upstaa by sliding the wooden components together. It's just as easy to take it apart again for storage or transport. The Upstaa is made from 18mm thick bamboo wood. Bamboo is a sustainable product; it filters almost 15 times more CO2 from the air than trees, generates more oxygen, grows very quickly, and is recyclable. The wood is treated with furniture wax and is not resistant to heat.

The difference between the Upstaa and the Upstaa XL lies in the keyboard and mouse shelf. The dimensions of the smaller variant are 57.5 x 20 cm and it is suitable for a compact keyboard and computer mouse. The larger variant is 80 x 20 cm and offers space for an extended keyboard (e.g., with a numeric keypad), computer mouse, and a possible cup of coffee.

What makes a sit-stand workstation so good?

Many studies show that prolonged sitting is extremely unhealthy. Sitting for too long can cause complaints in muscles, bones, and tissue. Blood sugar levels also increase and circulation decreases with prolonged sitting. It's not for nothing that it's called the new smoking. That's why sit-stand desks are becoming increasingly popular. The Upstaa is an inexpensive solution to achieve the desired effect. Alternating between sitting and standing promotes circulation and keeps you fit and energetic.

Get the most out of this product

The ideal height for the bottom shelf can be found by standing upright with relaxed, low shoulders. In this posture, the ideal angle of your elbows is 90°. If this falls just between two positions, it's best to hang the shelf slightly lower. The top shelf should be set at a height where the top of your laptop or computer screen is at eye level.

The Upstaa consists of 4 components: the base, upright, keyboard/mouse shelf, and monitor/laptop shelf. When sliding them together, ensure that the notch of the base points upwards and the notches of the other shelves point downwards.

Make sure not to overload the top shelf. It can hold at least 4 kg. The bottom shelf is much stronger. So strong that you don't have to worry if you lean on it a little while working.
