Ski boots are made to hold your foot firmly, not to be cosy. At ten in the morning on the chairlift you remember that again. These insoles are thin enough to still fit in, and warm enough to make the lift feel shorter. (The queue for the lift, sadly, not.)

Why the Glovii GW4U heated ski insoles?

Ultra-thin for a tight ski boot

The Glovii GW4U heated ski insoles are made for ski boots. They are ultra-thin, so they fit inside a tight shell boot where an ordinary heated insole would press. The carbon fibre heating element lies at the front of the insole, under your toes and forefoot.

Batteries with a clip on your ski boot

With the GW4U the battery is not in the insole. Each insole has a cable to a separate battery, and you fasten that battery to your ski boot with a clip. So it doesn't sit loose in your sock.

Control via the app

You control the GW4U via the Glovii app on your phone, over Bluetooth. The button on the battery switches the heating on and off. There is no remote control included.

On the lowest level the GW4U lasts up to 8 hours, about as long as a day on the slopes. On the highest level that is 2 hours.

A ski boot leaves little room. That is why the Glovii GW4U is kept thin and puts the battery outside the boot, on a clip. That leaves room in your ski boot for your foot, while you still get warmth at your toes.

Get the most out of your Glovii GW4U

Trimming to size

The GW4U is one size that you trim to length yourself. The insole has size lines from 36 to 48. Cut along the line of your shoe size and use your old inner sole as a template: you can always trim more, but you can't glue it back.

Charging and storage

The included mains charger has two outputs, so you charge both batteries at once. After your ski trip you store the GW4U switched off. Fully charge the batteries every 3 to 6 months, as printed on the insole, so they are ready for next season.

Cleaning

The Glovii GW4U is not suitable for the washing machine. Only spot clean the insoles, let them dry flat and only switch the heating on again once they are fully dry. Wringing, bleaching and ironing are not allowed.
