Glovii Heated gloves windproof - black
Product description of Glovii Heated gloves windproof - black
An ode to the Glovii windproof heated gloves
Wind, empty-handed
For years the wind had free rein. It slipped through your gloves, crept along your fingers and ran off with your warmth. With these gloves it faces a closed door. It can still blow, just without the loot.
Why the Glovii windproof heated gloves?
Thin, with a wind layer
The Glovii windproof heated gloves are thin gloves with thermal insulation and a layer that blocks the wind. That keeps the warmth of the heating element at your hand, even when it is blowing hard. Anti-slip elements on the palm give you grip. You keep the feel in your fingers for handlebars, a dog lead or a bunch of keys.
On their own or as a liner
Thanks to the thin cut you wear the windproof gloves on their own or as a liner under work, ski or garden gloves. Your movements stay free, whatever the weather. The thumb and index finger work with touchscreens, so you use your phone without taking them off.
Which Glovii suits you
Next to this windproof version, Glovii makes universal heated gloves. Those are stretchy and thin, nice indoors and in calm weather. Choose the windproof gloves if you are often out in the wind or on the bike. For snow and wet weather the Glovii heated ski gloves are the more obvious choice.
How the heating works
Carbon fibre around the fingers
The carbon fibre heating element runs around the fingers and heats the whole hand evenly, for a long time. The element has a power of 8 W. The battery sits in a pocket at the wrist.
Three heat levels
The Glovii windproof heated gloves have three heat levels. The higher the level, the shorter a fully charged 2100 mAh battery lasts:
| Temperature | Runtime per charge |
| 44 °C | 2 hours |
| 39 °C | 4 hours |
| 34 °C | 6 hours |
Hold the button on the glove for 2 seconds to switch the heating on or off. A short press switches between levels: red is the highest, blue the middle and green the lowest.
What makes the windproof heated gloves so good?
A regular winter glove has to be thick to keep you warm, and then everything gets awkward: a zip, a key, your phone. The Glovii windproof heated gloves take a different approach. They stay thin, the wind layer keeps the cold out and the element supplies the warmth. If your hands get cold quickly, you notice the difference on a raw morning.
Get the most out of your windproof heated gloves
Battery in your coat pocket
If the battery at the wrist gets in the way under a tight sleeve, use the included extension cable. You then put the battery in the inner pocket of your coat and keep your wrist free.
Start high, then switch down
Set the windproof gloves to the highest level when you set off and switch down once your hands are warm. On the lowest level a charge lasts three times as long as on the highest.
Charging and storage
According to the manual a full charge takes 4 to 6 hours. An indicator on the glove shows how much charge the battery has left. If you put the Glovii windproof heated gloves away after winter, fully charge the batteries at least every 6 months.
You shouldn't miss this either
Washing at 40 degrees
The Glovii windproof heated gloves can go in the washing machine at 40 degrees on a delicate programme. Remove the batteries first. Let them dry flat afterwards, without wringing, ironing or a tumble dryer.
2-year warranty
The Glovii windproof heated gloves come with a 2-year warranty, counted from the date of purchase. Mechanical damage is not covered by the warranty.
