Settle in comfortably

Normally we use this bit of text to write something fun and light-hearted about a product. This time, however, I want to use it to make sure you start reading with a cup of coffee or tea, because there's quite a lot to tell about the C1. Are you sitting comfortably? Maybe a biscuit too? Let's go!

Why the Keychron C1 keyboard?

The Keychron C1 gives you all the keys and functions you need in a compact format. This means there is no numeric section, for ergonomic reasons, but it does have shortcut keys that can be used by pressing key combinations. This layout is in high demand for maximum productivity and is the favourite format among gamers. The keyboard works plug & play via a USB-C --> USB-A cable.

You can choose between fixed or interchangeable Keychron and Gateron switches. The hot-swappable version is compatible with almost all MX-style 3-pin and 5-pin switches. This includes Gateron, Cherry and Kailh. Also choose an SMD-LED compatible switch to get the most out of the backlight. The switches are easily interchangeable with the included keycap puller.

Matching C1 wrist rest

Keychron has designed two wrist rests specifically for the C1. One is made of American walnut wood. The other combines this same wood with resin for a distinctive look. The wrist rests also have 4 anti-slip points that keep them in place.

Thanks to the support, your wrists and hands are at the right height to use the keyboard. This optimises relaxation and helps prevent injuries. Matching Penclic H2 wrist rest

Penclic's gel-filled wrist rest is also a perfect match for the Keychron C1 keyboard. The outside is finished with a wonderfully soft and comfortable lycra fabric. Carrying case

Keychron's carrying case is the ideal way to transport your Keychron keyboard. The case is opened and closed with a zip and consists of a compartment for the keyboard and a compartment for the cable. Gateron switch puller

The Gateron switch puller is the ultimate addition to your hot-swappable keyboard. Our hot-swappable keyboards already come with a keycap and switch puller as standard. But this switch puller is more user-friendly.

You place the Gateron switch puller over the switch and press down until you hear a click. Now you can easily pull out the switch. Pressing the button on top releases the switch from the puller. You can read more about the Gateron switch puller here.

What makes an ergonomic keyboard so good?

Anyone who does a lot of work on the computer knows that this can be taxing on your wrists, shoulders, back and neck. A good keyboard can help you with this. The Keychron C1, for example, has a compact design. The keys are also extra easy to press. You can also place your mouse close beside the keyboard. All of this is to minimise tension on muscles, helping to prevent or reduce injuries.

Don't miss this either

The keyboard is fitted with backlighting that makes the keys clearly visible in poorly lit spaces. Here you have the choice between white and RGB lighting. The RGB version has 18 different modes. You can also choose a model without backlighting.

The C1 can easily be raised slightly by folding out two feet at the back. However, we advise against this for ergonomic reasons. The C1 is suitable for both Windows & Mac. With a slider on the side, you can easily switch between operating systems. System-related keys are included and you can easily swap them yourself.
