Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 - 2x 230V + 2x USB-C charger white
Product description of Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 - 2x 230V + 2x USB-C charger white
An ode to the Fellowes Desk Up 2.0
A fair pair of twins
Two USB-C ports side by side, just like twins. On the Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 they share everything fairly: when one is charging, it gets all the attention. When the other joins in, they share nicely. (Real twins could learn a thing or two here.)
Why the Fellowes Desk Up 2.0?
Power and USB-C on the edge of your desk
The Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 is a desk power unit with two Type F sockets with side earthing and two USB-C ports. You clamp it onto your desktop from above, so there is no need to drill. That puts power and a charger right where you work, without crawling under your desk.
Two USB-C chargers, no separate adapters
When you charge one device via the Fellowes Desk Up 2.0, that USB-C port delivers up to 30 W. When you charge two devices at once, each port gets up to 15 W. Your phone and your earbuds or tablet charge side by side, and both sockets stay free for your laptop and monitor.
How to use
The connection cable
The Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 has a 1 metre cable with a 3-pole connector. You connect a cable with a plug to it, which you order at the top of this page in 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 metres. If you already have a suitable connection cable with a 3-pole connector, choose "None".
Fixing it with the clamps
The Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 has two clamps underneath. You place it on the edge of the desktop from above and clamp it in place, no tools needed. The clamps fit desktops from 10 to 45 mm thick. The unit is angled towards you at 45 degrees, so you can see the sockets and ports clearly.
Ergonomic benefits
A desk power unit does not change your posture, but the Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 does save you bending down and searching under your desk for a free socket. You plug in your laptop charger or phone cable from your chair. On a shared hot desk, that is simply more pleasant.
Good to know
Measure before you order
Check that your desktop is between 10 and 45 mm thick and that you can reach the edge. If your desk stands against the wall, you need space behind the desktop for the clamps and the cable. The Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 itself is 197 mm wide and 111 mm high.
Pros and cons
- Two sockets on the edge of your desk
- Two USB-C ports up to 30 W
- Clamping instead of drilling
- Angled towards you, ports easy to see
- Less ideal if your desk stands tight against the wall
- Less ideal if you want to charge your laptop via USB-C
- Less ideal if you still have USB-A devices
In short: the Fellowes Desk Up 2.0 with 2x USB-C is a power unit with clamps for the edge of your desk. Important: desktop thickness from 10 to 45 mm, you choose the connection cable yourself.
