Why the Wacom Intuos CTL-6100WL drawing tablet?

The Intuos M (CTL-6100WL) is the latest drawing tablet in the Wacom family. The Wacom CTL-6100WL replaces the Medium Intuos versions (art and comic). The drawing tablet features a new and sleeker design. Of course, more than just the aesthetics have changed.

What does a drawing tablet mean for your posture?

By controlling the cursor with a pen, you adopt a healthier working posture with your hand. The Intuos M Bluetooth drawing tablet can be operated with both hands. For the best working posture, place the drawing tablet directly in front of you, within shoulder width. A drawing tablet ensures that your wrist, arm, and shoulder muscles are less strained.

What's new?

The Wacom Intuos M has become somewhat smaller at 264 x 200 x 8 mm. The main gain is around the buttons, as the active area has remained the same at 216 x 135 mm.

The resolution also remains unchanged at 2540 LPI (lines per inch). One of the major differences lies in the pressure sensitivity. It now has 4096 pressure levels, offering an even more realistic drawing experience.

This is the result of the new Wacom Pen 4K. The pen, which, as you've come to expect from all Wacom products, works without batteries. The Wacom Intuos M comes with 3 extra standard nibs. These can be found inside the pen. The end of the pen serves as a nib removal tool.

It is no longer necessary to purchase a separate wireless kit. The Intuos CTL-6100WL Medium drawing tablet features the ability to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. The integrated Li-ion battery has an operating time of approximately 15 hours. When empty, it only needs 3.5 hours on the charger for a full battery again.

Software package

The Wacom Intuos M Bluetooth drawing tablet comes with useful software. With this model, you no longer have to choose, as you receive all three programmes. The included software package consists of; Corel® Painter® Essentials™ 6, Corel® Aftershot™ 3, and Clip Studio Paint Pro. You can download the software from the Wacom website. You only need to create a Wacom account and register your product to claim the software.

The Wacom Intuos M Bluetooth (CTL-6100WL) drawing tablet is equipped with 4 ExpressKeys™. These can be programmed using the Wacom driver. This allows you to ensure that frequently used functions, such as cut and paste, are always at hand. More complex functions can also be assigned to the extra buttons.
