Why the Hydrogel-22 cooling vest?

Are you required to wear high-visibility clothing, but still want to stay cool? With IZI's EN ISO 20741 certified cooling clothing, you're in good hands. This cooling vest meets the international Class 2 standard. Thanks to the fluorescent fabric and reflective strips, you are clearly visible from every angle.

The vest is available in 2 fluorescent colours: orange and yellow.

Ideal for 25 to 40 degrees

Looking for some extra cooling on days when the temperature is on the tropical side? Then consider a cooling solution like the Hydrogel-22 cooling vest. This vest works ideally at temperatures between 25 and 40 degrees and up to 90% humidity.

The Hydrogel-22 is a cooling vest that works based on water evaporation. Thanks to this technology, the vest provides up to 72 hours of cooling. For more intense cooling, the vest can also be placed in the freezer (do not fold!), after which it works for about 2 hours and then switches to the evaporation method.

Hydrogel cooling

The cooling vest contains compartments with gel. This gel can absorb water when the vest is submerged. This process takes about 20 minutes. After these 20 minutes, the vest needs a drying time of about 30 minutes before you can wear it.

Your body heat causes the water in the vest to evaporate, thereby dissipating body heat. For this process to work optimally, it is important that the vest can breathe. Therefore, you cannot wear clothing over the hydrogel vest.

Since activation with soaking and drying takes about an hour, it is advisable to activate the vest the evening before use. By the way, do you want to know if the vest is completely water-free? You can feel this by the gel in the compartments, which eventually turns into hard granules.

Durable polyester

The vest is made of polyester, which makes it hard-wearing. An additional advantage is that the material dries easily. Since you have to activate the vest in water, that's quite convenient. The 4 available sizes and the adjustability thanks to the elastic sides ensure that you can wear it snugly, which makes it extra comfortable.

What makes a cooling vest so good?

Between 18 and 25 degrees, we experience the most comfort when it comes to warmth. Above that, we quickly get too hot. To keep the temperature bearable, a cooling vest can be the solution. You can truly wear such a vest anywhere. At home, outdoors, in the car, during a bike ride. You don't necessarily have to look for air conditioning or a fan to find some cooling.

Pleasant weight distribution

The Hydrogel-22 distributes the weight of the water it absorbs evenly across the entire upper body. Dry, the vest weighs 225 grams; activated, it weighs 2000 grams. Thanks to this weight distribution and the excellent fit, you barely feel you're wearing it. The vest has a zip at the front, so it's easy to put on and take off.
