An ode to the Mistel X-VIII keyboard

Gaming, typing, programming: it all works on Mistel's X-VIII keyboard. And with three customisable layers you can create the ideal layout for every task. The Nimitz's little brother is called the BumbleBee for good reason; these keyboards transform into whatever is needed at the moment.

Why the X-VIII Nimitz keyboard?

Besides its distinctive looks, this Mistel keyboard has every key you need, including a numeric section. The keys are fitted with high-quality Cherry MX mechanical switches. The board also has four slide switches on the underside that let you make small changes to the keys. For example, you can turn the CapsLock key into the left shift key or the Fn key.

The third slide switch mentioned above activates Macro mode. Here you can create up to three different layers in which you can give each key a different function. Exactly how to do this is explained under "frequently asked questions" at the bottom of this page. The keycaps are double-shot, which gives them extra sturdiness and stability. As a result, the lettering will not wear off or fade either.

Get the most out of this product

Mistel's X-VIII keyboard is wide. From an ergonomic point of view it is too wide for right-handed mouse users. That is why, for ergonomic reasons, we recommend using a central mouse with this keyboard. These sit right in front of you, between yourself and your keyboard, and also serve as a wrist rest while typing. You will find these here.

A number of fun and handy extras come with the keyboard. The keycap puller makes it very easy to remove and replace the keycaps. There are also three extra keycaps, a switch tester and a dust cover included.
