Are you looking for some extra cooling on days when the temperature is on the tropical side? Then consider a cooling solution such as the Hydrogel-05 cooling vest. This vest works ideally at temperatures between 25 and 40 degrees and up to 90% humidity.
The Hydrogel-05 is a cooling vest that works based on water evaporation. Thanks to this technology, the vest provides up to 72 hours of cooling. For more intense cooling, the vest can also be placed in the freezer (do not fold!), after which it works for about 2 hours and then switches to the evaporation method.
Hydrogel cooling
The cooling vest contains compartments filled with gel. This gel can absorb water when the vest is submerged. This process takes about 20 minutes. After these 20 minutes, the vest needs a drying time of about 30 minutes before you can wear it.
Your body heat causes the water to evaporate from the vest, thereby dissipating body heat. For this process to work optimally, it is important that the vest can breathe. Therefore, you cannot wear clothing over the hydrogel vest.
Since activation by soaking and drying takes about an hour, it is advisable to activate the vest the evening before use. By the way, do you want to know if the vest is completely water-free? You can feel this by the gel in the compartments, which eventually turns into hard granules.
