Why the Hydrogel-12 cooling vest?

Are you required to wear high-visibility clothing, but still want to stay cool? With the EN ISO 20471 certified cooling clothing from IZI you're in good hands. This cooling vest meets the international Class 1 standard. Thanks to the fluorescent textile and the reflective bands you are clearly visible from every angle.

The vest is visible in 2 fluorescent colours: orange and yellow.

Ideal for 25 to 40 degrees

Looking for a little extra cooling on days when the temperature is on the tropical side? Then consider a cooling solution such as the Hydrogel-12 cooling vest. This vest works ideally at temperatures between 25 and 40 degrees and up to a humidity of 90%.

The hydrogel-12 is a cooling vest that works based on evaporation of water. Thanks to this technology the vest offers up to 72 hours of cooling. For somewhat more intense cooling the vest can also be put in the freezer (do not fold!), after which it works for about 2 hours and then switches to the evaporation method.

Hydrogel cooling

The cooling vest contains compartments with gel inside. When the vest is submerged, this gel can absorb water. This process takes about 20 minutes. After those 20 minutes the vest needs a drying time of about 30 minutes before you can wear it.

Your body heat causes the water to evaporate from the vest and thereby carries off body heat. For that process to work optimally it is important that the vest can breathe. So you cannot wear any clothing over the hydrogel vest.

Because activation with submerging and drying takes a little under an hour, it is wise to activate the vest the evening before use. Want to know whether the vest is completely free of water? You can feel this in the gel in the compartments, which eventually turns into hard granules

Durable polyester

The vest is made of polyester, which makes it wear-resistant. An added advantage is that the material dries easily. Since you have to activate the vest in water, that is quite pleasant. The 4 available sizes and the adjustability thanks to the elastic sides ensure that you can wear it close-fitting, which makes it extra comfortable.

What makes a cooling vest so good?

Between 18 and 25 degrees we experience the most comfort when it comes to warmth. Above that we quickly get too warm. To keep the temperature bearable, a cooling vest can then be the solution. You can wear such a vest literally anywhere. At home, outdoors, in the car, during a bike ride. You don't necessarily have to seek out an air conditioner or fan to find some cooling.

This cooling vest has a zip fastening and is therefore very easy to put on and take off. All 4 different sizes have elastic sides, so the sizing can be kept nice and roomy. Measure your chest circumference and, using the table alongside, you'll find your ideal size.

Pleasant weight distribution

The Hydrogel-12 distributes the weight of the water it absorbs nicely across the entire upper body. Dry the vest weighs 225 grams, activated 2000 grams. Thanks to that weight distribution and the nice fit you barely feel that you're wearing it. The vest has a zip at the front, so you put it on and take it off easily.

The vest has been given 3 finishes that make it flame-retardant, quick-drying and antistatic.

UV resistant

The Hydrogel-12 blocks all UV radiation and is therefore ideal to wear on days when you have to work outdoors in full sun.
