DESK BIKE
FROM 295,-Reviews from our customers about their desk bike
Why do I need a desk bike?
On average, Dutch people spend 8.7 hours a day sitting. This can be significantly higher if you have an office job. You're probably familiar with the saying: “Sitting is the new smoking”. Those who don't move enough get sick sooner. Therefore, it's important to get our lazy bottoms out of that comfortable office chair more often.
In that regard, a sit-stand desk is already an excellent solution. Besides being a healthy way of working, you are often more productive too. For those who want to go a step further, the desk bike has been developed.
By the way, the intention is not for you to cycle for hours behind your desk. The desk bike is more intended to create a dynamic work environment where you can alternate between sitting, standing, and cycling. So, purchasing cycling shorts with a thick chamois is unnecessary ;-).
You can easily track distances and speeds in an app, which you can connect to the desk bike's Bluetooth sensor. This is available separately.
How do I choose the right desk bike?
When choosing a desk bike, it's important to first check if it's suitable for your workplace. For example, a sit-stand desk is a requirement, as you won't be able to use it otherwise. An example: Chiara is 176cm tall and uses a size M desk bike. When she cycles, the desk is raised so there is 108 cm of space between the floor and the bottom of the desk.
Also, keep in mind that you need to be able to store the desk bike when not in use. When folded, the desk bike (size M) takes up approximately 50 x 40 x 110 cm. Finally, the user's body height is also important when choosing the right size. See the table below for this.
| Size | Body height |
| S | 140 - 165 cm |
| M | 165 - 185 cm |
| L | 185 - 215 cm |
